This closet defines feminine glamour with all the beautiful finishes and shine a girl could ever want. High gloss drawers paired with decorative cabinets creates such a high end look. The upper doors almost look like ribbons. So gorgeous!

The tall dress closet includes full length mirrored doors. This creates a clean look and the mirrors make the closet look even bigger. Although this closet is already big enough for a gorgeous ottoman. So much pretty!

There’s a  lovely glass counter above the series of drawers. Not only does it add shine, it allows a view of favorite jewelry pieces.

This closet also includes 4 pullout hamper bins. That gives plenty of space for darks, lights, dry cleaning, and towels. Now your laundry is ready to go for when the laundry elves come to wash them. A girl can dream right?

Every closet needs plenty of light, and this one was no different. In addition to the decorative chandeliers we also included lights over each closet bar, ribbon lighting on the shoe racks, and up lighting above the closets. So much beautiful light!

His Space

The closet for him has a bit less space than the one for her. Does that surprise anyone? Less square footage meant that every inch of this closet needed to be efficient while still maintaining a luxurious design.

Recycled leather drawer fronts with large modern handles gave exactly the masculine luxury we were striving for. We are in love with dECOLeather drawer fronts!

This closet also includes lighting above the closet poles as well as ribbon lighting in the shoe rack. We also included two pull out pants racks. More examples of stylish efficiency!

This closet may not have a huge footprint but there’s still room for a stylish and functional stool. Everyone needs somewhere to sit while they tie their shoes. 🙂 Speaking of shoes, even guys need plenty of space to store their kicks. This closet has plenty of shelf space for many pairs of shoes.

There are three finishes available for the leather fronts. You can choose from Buffalo, Crocodile, or Walrus finishes. You can also add a high gloss finish. All are lovely and bring a unique design element to your closet.

So what is recycled leather? Formica Group creates their recycled leather veneer from pulverized leather fibers extracted from car seats and leather tanneries. The thickness is comparable to veneer and laminate.

All that is needed to care for the leather fronts is a damp cloth. Simply wipe down the front if cleaning is needed. If only doing laundry and putting it away were this easy!

Our customer in Irving, TX was looking for more shoe storage. You may be imagining lots of stylish heels, but men need shoe storage too! Before we began this closet was fine, but there were lots of ways that we helped the client make it more functional!

This closet had a lot of vertical space that was going unused. We took advantage of that height by adding two levels of hanging bars.

In addition to hanging space we added many drawers and closed cabinets. This creates storage that can be closed away to maintain the clean look.

A client in Frisco, Texas wanted a “boutique feel” to her closet. She imagined shopping in her own closet daily, while still having that feeling of walking into a beautiful boutique.

One feature she wanted was a lot of lighting. Bright lights paired with simple white cabinetry add to the boutique feel we were aiming for. Glass knobs and a chandelier bring a classy element to the entire space.

This client had a lovely jewelry collection and wanted the ability to see her pieces when getting ready in the morning. To achieve this we added a glass top on the dresser with grey suede inserts. Now her jewelry has a lovely home and adds to the design features all at the same time.

She also had a lot of beautiful handbags to display. Glass fronted cabinets make her purses a focal point in the closet.

The client chose to buy all white hangers to match her gorgeous closet. This makes things look streamlined and really adds to the organized look!

Slanted shoe shelves with ribbon lighting are the perfect way to display those kickin’ shoes! A decorative shoe fence in the matching finish to the closet accessories adds another layer of sophistication.

One last hidden feature is a sliding pull out mirror. It tucks away when not in use. How fancy is that?!! We also installed a valet rod to allow our client to set out her clothes when she is deciding what to wear.

If you if your closet is tad bit larger than a postage stamp then you may have the room you need. The first step is to decide how large of an island you want in your closet.

One way she suggests getting a closet island for less? An Ikea bookshelf turned on its side, as Adams did for influencer-blogger Chriselle Lim. “Ta-da! When thinking about a closet redo one item is often overlooked…the closet doors! With choices like hinged doors, bi-fold doors, and sliding doors it’s hard to know what to choose. Are sliding closet doors right for you? Read more and find out!

First lets discuss the basic differences between sliding doors and hinged doors. One set slides, and the other set swings open on hinges. Well, now that we have that sorted. 😉 Only kidding. There is a bit more to it than that.

LivSpace.com shares these advantages of Hinged Doors:

  • Improved visibility

It is easier to spot things when you open the doors as you get the entire view of the wardrobe. Unlike sliding doors, hinged doors do not conceal one side of the closet.

  • More hanging space

With hinged doors, you can hang your accessories like sling bags, scarves or belts on the back of the doors.

  • Color and finish options

Since hinged doors have been in the market for a long time, they come in various styles and colors.

Cool or warm actually refers to the color temperature of the light. Cool light looks more blue and warm light looks more yellow. The cooler the light the more it resembles daylight.
